Charamuscas

Charamuscas are twisted sweets made of caramelized, hardened piloncillo, typical of Guanajuato. In the city of Guanajuato they are often shaped like mummies, a nod to the famous Mummies of Guanajuato, and sold at the stalls around the museum.

Guanajuato is also home to Celaya’s cajeta, another sweet closely tied to the state.
