Pedro Infante

Pedro Infante (1917–1957) was one of the great idols of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, an actor and singer much loved by ordinary audiences.

His best-remembered character is Pepe el Toro, a humble carpenter who becomes a boxer, in Ismael Rodríguez’s trilogy Nosotros los pobres, Ustedes los ricos and Pepe el Toro. He also played Tizoc in the film of that name.
