February 5, 1917 - Constitution of 1917
On February 5, 1917, Mexico promulgated the Constitution of 1917 in Querétaro. It included major social rights related to land, labor, education, and national resources.
For citizenship learners, this is one of the most important civic dates because the Constitution of 1917 remains the basis of Mexico’s current constitutional order.
The Political Constitution of the United Mexican States is the document that governs Mexicans and foreigners in the national territory. The rights and obligations of all Mexicans are set out in the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States.
