Paseo de la Reforma
Paseo de la Reforma is Mexico City’s grand avenue linking Chapultepec Park with the city centre. Emperor Maximilian of Habsburg had it laid out and called it Paseo de la Emperatriz in honour of Carlota.
After the empire fell, President Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada gave it its current name in honour of the Reform Laws. Along it stand monuments such as the Angel of Independence, the Monument to Cuauhtémoc and the Diana the Huntress fountain.
