Guanajuato (Guanajuato)

The Callejón del Beso (Alley of the Kiss) is an alley in the historic center of Guanajuato so narrow that the balconies on either side almost touch. According to legend, two forbidden lovers, Carmen and her suitor, kissed from balcony to balcony until her father discovered them, with tragic results.

Today tradition says couples must kiss on the alley’s third step to earn years of good luck, making it one of the most visited romantic spots in Mexico.
