What plan did Venustiano Carranza proclaim to overthrow Victoriano Huerta?

The Plan de Guadalupe was signed on March 26, 1913, at the Hacienda de Guadalupe in Coahuila, shortly after the assassination of President Francisco I. Madero. It refused to recognize Victoriano Huerta’s government and named Carranza First Chief of the Constitutionalist Army.

Its goal was mainly political — restoring constitutional order — rather than social reform. Don’t confuse it with the Plan de San Luis, with which Madero rose against Porfirio Díaz, or the Plan de Ayala, with which Zapata demanded land reform.
