Villa del Carbón
Villa del Carbón is a town in the northwestern part of the State of Mexico, surrounded by forests and reservoirs. It is known for its handcrafted leather goods, especially boots and jackets, and for its whitewashed houses with red-tile roofs.
The Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns) program of Mexico’s tourism authorities recognizes towns with special cultural, historical, or natural appeal. The State of Mexico has several, such as Valle de Bravo and Metepec, but Villa del Carbón is the one this card tests.
