San Pedro Cholula

Cholula, next to the city of Puebla, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited towns in the Americas. It is famous for the Great Pyramid of Cholula, the largest pyramid by volume in the world, which today looks like a hill topped by the church of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios.

‘Magical Towns’ (Pueblos Mágicos) is a designation from Mexico’s tourism ministry for towns with special cultural or historical value; San Pedro Cholula and San Andrés Cholula both hold the title.
