Where are the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon located?

Teotihuacán, northeast of Mexico City, was one of the largest cities of the ancient world, flourishing between roughly 100 and 650 AD. Its Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon stand along the Avenue of the Dead and are among the most visited monuments in Mexico.

The city was built centuries before the Aztecs, who found it in ruins and named it Teotihuacán, “the place where the gods were born”. Do not confuse it with Tenochtitlán, the Aztec capital, which lies beneath modern Mexico City.
