Período posclásico mesoamericano

The Postclassic runs roughly from 950 AD to the conquest in 1521. In that era the Mexica founded Mexico-Tenochtitlan and, through the Triple Alliance, came to dominate much of Mesoamerica. Don’t confuse it with the Classic period, whose peak belonged to Teotihuacan and the Maya cities.
