What is the birthday song in Mexico?

“Las mañanitas” is the traditional Mexican birthday song, sung instead of “Happy Birthday”. It is often performed as an early-morning serenade (the mañanitas) or before the birthday person blows out the candles, and mariachis are frequently hired to sing it.

It is also famously sung to the Virgin of Guadalupe every year in the early hours of December 12 at the Basilica in Mexico City, on the eve of her feast day.
