Los Pinos
Los Pinos, located inside the Chapultepec Forest in Mexico City, served as the official residence of Mexican presidents starting with Lázaro Cárdenas in 1934, who chose it over the more luxurious Chapultepec Castle. In December 2018 it was opened to the public as the Los Pinos Cultural Complex.
Don’t confuse it with Chapultepec Castle, the earlier presidential residence that is now the National Museum of History, or with the National Palace on the Zócalo, the historic seat of the federal executive.
