When was the Treaty of Córdoba signed?

The Treaty of Córdoba was signed on August 24, 1821 in Córdoba, Veracruz, by Agustín de Iturbide, commander of the Trigarante Army, and Juan O’Donojú, the last Spanish official sent to govern New Spain. It recognized the independence of the Mexican Empire and ratified the Plan of Iguala.

A month later, on September 27, 1821, the Trigarante Army entered Mexico City and independence was consummated; Spain itself did not recognize it until 1836.
