Plan de la Noria

The Plan of La Noria was Porfirio Díaz’s 1871 rebellion against the reelection of President Benito Juárez, named after Díaz’s hacienda in Oaxaca. The revolt failed, and it lost its purpose when Juárez died in office in 1872.

Don’t confuse it with the Plan of Tuxtepec of 1876, Díaz’s second, successful revolt, that one against President Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada, which finally brought him to power.
