The Conquest culminated in 1521, when Hernán Cortés took Tenochtitlan. Independence began with Miguel Hidalgo’s Grito de Dolores in 1810 and was consummated in 1821, and the Revolution broke out in 1910 against Porfirio Díaz, leading to the Constitution of 1917.
