Guerra de Reforma

The Reform War (1858–1861), also known as the Three Years’ War, was a civil war between liberals, led by Benito Juárez, who defended the 1857 Constitution and the separation of Church and state, and conservatives, who sought to preserve the privileges of the Church and the army. The liberal victory consolidated the Reform Laws.

Do not confuse it with the War of Independence (1810–1821) or the Mexican Revolution (1910).
