Presidente de México
In Mexico the presidential term lasts six years and is known as the sexenio. Under Article 83 of the Constitution, a person who has held the presidency may never hold it again, under any circumstances.
This strict no-reelection rule is a legacy of the Mexican Revolution, fought in part against Porfirio Díaz’s decades in power, and is summed up in the famous slogan “Sufragio efectivo, no reelección” (Effective suffrage, no reelection).
