Congreso de la Unión

The Congress of the Union is Mexico’s federal legislature. It is bicameral: the Chamber of Deputies has 500 members and the Senate has 128, and a bill must pass both chambers before the president promulgates it as law.

Do not confuse the roles of the three branches: Congress (legislative) makes the laws, the president (executive) enforces them, and the Judicial Branch interprets them.
