Villahermosa (Tabasco)
Villahermosa is the capital and largest city of Tabasco, a state in southeastern Mexico on the Gulf coast. The city sits on the Grijalva River in a hot, humid region rich in rivers and wetlands.
Villahermosa is known for the Parque-Museo La Venta, an open-air museum displaying colossal stone heads and other monuments of the Olmec civilization, which flourished in this region.
