Sonora

Sonora is Mexico’s second-largest state, located in the northwest of the country. It shares a long border with the U.S. state of Arizona, faces the Gulf of California to the west, and neighbors Chihuahua to the east and Sinaloa to the south.

Its capital is Hermosillo, and much of its territory is covered by the Sonoran Desert, one of the largest deserts in North America.
