Demografía de México
The Population and Housing Census is carried out every ten years by INEGI, Mexico’s national statistics institute. The 2020 census counted 126,014,024 inhabitants, making Mexico the most populous Spanish-speaking country in the world and the second most populous country in Latin America, after Brazil.
Watch out: recent reports from people taking the naturalization exam indicate it now asks for Mexico’s current population, around 133 million according to newer estimates, instead of the 2020 census figure. If a question asks for the current population rather than the census count, pick the most recent figure among the options.
