Guanajuato

Guanajuato is Mexico’s footwear powerhouse: the city of León concentrates thousands of shoe factories and workshops and supplies most of the country’s footwear production. Leatherworking and shoemaking have been the region’s signature industry for well over a century.

León also hosts SAPICA, one of the most important footwear and leather trade fairs in Latin America.
