Javier Hernández Balcázar
Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, born in Guadalajara in 1988, is the all-time leading goal scorer of the Mexican national team. His nickname means “little pea”: his father, also a footballer, was called “Chícharo” (pea), so the son became “Chicharito.”
He rose to fame with Chivas de Guadalajara and went on to play for major European clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid.
