Libertad Lamarque
Libertad Lamarque (1908–2000), born in Rosario, Argentina, was a celebrated tango singer and film star who moved to Mexico in the 1940s and became a beloved figure of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. She went on to appear in dozens of Mexican films and, late in life, in telenovelas.
Don’t confuse her with Mexican-born divas of the same era such as María Félix or Dolores del Río — the question asks specifically about an Argentine star who made her career in Mexico.
