Cantinflas
Cantinflas was the stage name of Mario Moreno (1911–1993), a Mexico City-born comedian and star of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, famous for playing a fast-talking underdog in films like Ahí está el detalle. His trademark of talking endlessly while saying nothing gave Spanish the verb ‘cantinflear,’ recognized by the Royal Spanish Academy.
Don’t confuse him with Roberto Gómez Bolaños, ‘Chespirito,’ a later television comedian.
