Hermosillo

Hermosillo is the capital and largest city of Sonora, in Mexico’s arid northwest. It sits inland in the Sonoran Desert and is a major center for agriculture, ranching, and automobile manufacturing.

Don’t confuse it with other well-known Sonoran cities: Nogales lies on the Arizona border and Ciudad Obregón is a farming hub in the south, but neither is the capital.
