Guadalajara (México)
Guadalajara, capital of Jalisco, anchors one of the largest metropolitan areas in Mexico. It is often called the country’s cultural heartland: Jalisco is the home of mariachi music and tequila, and the city hosts the Guadalajara International Book Fair, the largest in the Spanish-speaking world.
Zapopan and Tlaquepaque are separate municipalities within Guadalajara’s metropolitan area, not the capital itself.
