Chilpancingo de los Bravo
Chilpancingo, officially Chilpancingo de los Bravo, is the capital of Guerrero. It is historically important because José María Morelos convened the Congress of Chilpancingo there in 1813, the assembly that first declared Mexico’s independence.
A classic trap: Acapulco is by far the state’s largest and most famous city, but the capital of Guerrero is Chilpancingo.
