What is the most prestigious theater in Mexico City?

The Palacio de Bellas Artes is Mexico’s premier cultural venue, a white marble palace in the historic center of Mexico City, next to the Alameda Central. Begun under Porfirio Díaz and inaugurated in 1934, it combines an Art Nouveau exterior with an Art Deco interior.

It hosts opera, symphonic music, and the Ballet Folklórico de México, and its walls display murals by Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco, and David Alfaro Siqueiros.
