Tepehuan / O'dam
The Tepehuan are an Indigenous people of northwestern Mexico, native above all to Durango, with communities also in Chihuahua, Nayarit and Zacatecas. The southern Tepehuan call themselves O’dam, and the northern ones Ódami.
Their languages belong to the Uto-Aztecan family. They live mainly in the Sierra Madre Occidental, where they keep their community organization and traditional ceremonies.
